The Nurul Islam Educational Forum was established in September 2012.
The Forum was established after Imaam Toyer Hendricks, who is one of the imaams at the Nurul Islam Mosque in Heideveld, approached a number of local teachers who originate from the Heideveld and surrounding areas.
The first formal meeting was held on 16 September at the Heideveld mosque.
The following items were discussed at this meeting:
1. The Name of the Forum;
2. The Mission & Vision of the Forum;
3. Aims and Objectives;
4. Programmes for 2012.
